The people behind Smashify
Smashify is operated by Smashify, Inc.
Smashify is the work of 7 Ghosts, a group whose experience spans musicianship, songwriting, and music and film production. That creative background shapes our understanding of the work that goes into making music and the importance of finding an audience.
The members of 7 Ghosts choose to remain anonymous in this project. We want the focus to stay on the music, the people creating it, and the fans who help it grow.
Our purpose
We believe the music industry should do more for the people at its center: artists and fans. Our goal is to help musicians reach listeners and give fans more ways to discover, collect, and share music.
A song reaches further when someone saves it, shares it, or introduces a friend to the artist behind it. Smashify brings listening, discovery, and sharing into the same experience because those connections matter to music and to the people making it.
A community for discovery
We are building a home for established musicians, emerging artists, and people finding their creative voice. We want more artists to have a chance to reach listeners, including those without established industry connections.
Fans are part of that community from the beginning. A playlist, a recommendation, or a new favorite can help an artist find an audience. Our aim is to make those connections easier and give people more reasons to keep discovering music together.
For the people who listen
Discover tracks, explore artist pages, save favorites, and build playlists around the music you love. Follow artists and share discoveries with friends. Whether you arrive with a favorite song in mind or are looking for something new, Smashify gives you ways to keep exploring.
Sign in to keep your favorites and playlists together in Library and return to the artists you follow.
For the people who make music
Smashify gives artists a place to publish music, present their work, and connect with listeners. Artist pages bring tracks together so fans can discover more from a creator, follow their work, and share it with others.
Artists can use the upload flow to submit music and release details, subject to account eligibility and the current upload requirements. Music and artwork shared on Smashify must be content the uploader has the rights or permission to share.
Our launch
Smashify announced its public beta launch in April 2026. That announcement set out our focus on supporting artists and recognizing the role fans play in music discovery and engagement. You can read the launch announcement on PR Newswire.
The platform is available at smashify.com. We continue to develop the listening experience, artist tools, and community features. Feedback from the people using Smashify helps inform that work.
What guides us
- Music comes first. Discovery, playback, and the connection between artists and listeners are at the heart of the experience.
- Participation matters. Listening, saving a song, following an artist, and sharing music all help a music community grow.
- Clear information matters. Our help pages explain how current features work and where to find support.
